Growing up I was never into sports. I was much more interested in computers. The only athletic thing I ever did was inline skating in high school. As a professional geek I sit behind a desk for a minimum of 40 hours a week making the world a better place for all the non-geeks. A few years ago my wife and I started playing dodge ball, bowling and softball. These activities got us out of the “Hermit Mode” and saved my wife from wanting to do me in! Then I heard that Egor was organizing a men’s derby league, I was in! I went to open skate to see if I could remember how to actually skate. I might have gotten the wind knocked out of me; but I’ve never looked back (except when skating in a pack because if I don’t …. I get yelled at by a coach!)!!
Favorite Position: Blocker (and professional cupcake evaluator)
Favorite Bruise: Pair of bruises on my hip that stuck around for a month

Loves: Pancakes, obviously!, Geeky things. Good Beer! Oh yeah…..Roller Skating!
Irritants/Dislikes: Bad drivers, bad beer, bad DJ’s

Why Derby? I’m apparently drawn to alternative sports. I’m a huge fan of FMDG and joining the men’s league seemed like the perfect thing to do, so I said “What the hell!”
